Microsoft Copilot launched on WhatsApp
This is Copilot’s interpretation of Microsoft Copilot launched on WhatsApp
This integration could be doing your business a favor.
Why?
Accessibility: Microsoft's Copilot brings advanced AI capabilities directly into WhatsApp, a widely used messaging platform. This makes AI assistance easily accessible to millions of users - for free! There doesn't seem to be a usage limit.
Democratization of AI: By making advanced AI capabilities available through a familiar platform, it could lower the barrier to AI adoption in various business contexts.
Future of Work: It showcases how AI is becoming more integrated into daily communications, potentially reshaping how teams collaborate and share information.
Microsoft has created a personal assistant ready to help with any need. After chatting with it for a few days, I'm impressed by how fluid and intuitive the conversations are. It feels more like a real conversation with an assistant than a transactional exchange with a machine, surpassing even ChatGPT or Claude in this aspect. Kudos to the UX writers!
Crucially, Copilot doesn't require you to specify roles or give detailed instructions. It intuitively understands what you want from simple queries.
Its image recognition is impressive, and it can access the internet for additional information. For example, I posted an image of a London Cocktail Week booklet and asked for more info. Copilot accessed the internet to provide short search results and even created a list of references.
However, it has some limitations:
- Struggles with follow-up conversations without specific context
- geolocation inaccuracies (e.g., confusing London with Amsterdam)
- Lacks an concept of time (provided tonight's events when asked about tomorrow)
- Doesn't understand voice notes (yet)
Despite these shortcomings, it amazes me with its ability to create high-quality images without overly specific prompts. For those familiar with the art of prompting, you know how challenging it can be to get usable results. Copilot seems to help users skip a few steps in refining prompts to produce decent images.
Overall, I think it's genius - I want to use Copilot more, even as a Mac user!
